Seth F. Weaver, Sr. 09/16/11.There is an old mysterious tale told by hunters and trappers about a doomed bunch of 20 trappers being attacked by 70 Indians or so. Things looked real bad, half the men were wounded and dying and running out of ammunition, when an old Jesuit priest traveling with them prayed for help from God. As quick as he finished, the Indians were getting ready for their final charge. The sky looked strange like at dusk and this was the middle of the afternoon. The earth shook and lightning flashed down and eerily as if out of a mirage came riding five riders firing guns and screaming. The Indians figured these were demons of some kind and quickly retreated. The trappers and the priest were so happy, they shouted for joy that they had been saved they forgot to notice that the five riders were gone but where theyll never know. A Compullage creation.
